Superstition Of Japanese People

Every country have their own superstition .We should learn and respect their superstition .If you have experienced when watching anime or japan movie.They will definitely tell u don’t mess with the angry ghost.Lets see what Superstition of Japanese people they have .

(1) Do not cut your nail during night.

During the past they are no electricity or lamp in the night.They believe evil spirit come out during night. They are still few people believe about this superstition.Although this saying isn’t  popular now, try to keep the light when you cut your nails.

(2) Don’t write people name in red ink

In Japanese tombstone ,we can find out that their name is write down in red and blank ink.For people that pass away are using black .For people still living will write down red ink. Writing people name in red ink is inauspicious’. When you travel in Japan don’t write people name in red ink.This is the Superstition of Japanese people.

(3)When catfish start acting aggressive, an earthquake will occur soon

There are still a lot of people believe it. Its is believe that catfish has better sense than earthquake senser made by human. Although they are no scientific proof Japanese people are still believe in it. They are still a lot of scientist try to prove it.

(4)Don’t clean your house during New Year

New year is very sacred day for Japanese people.Japanese people believe that it is a day that god come to their house. If you clean your house during new year .You will swept all the god and good luck out from your house.Not only Japanese people believe Chinese people also believe in that.

(5)If you sleep face north you will die early.

They will place people body face north during funeral. It is believe they will die early if you sleep face north.If you want to live longer, make sure you are aware of the directions.

(6) Visit a shrine to make visits.

You can make your big wish when you visit the shrine .There is a ceremony call ”the one hundred times pilgrimage”.You will need to walk for hundred time to shrine while you are praying.It will make your wish come true.If you walk in barefoot it will work more efficiently.If the wish just come true you will need to give something back to shrine.

(7)When a swallow flies lower, it will rain tomorrow

Swallow often nest under roofs and as a result are very popular birds with Japanese people. They tend to fly low to catch bugs before a rainy day. Try to observe them carefully if you want to know the weather!
